Introduction簡介
José Lázaro das Dores is not only a Macanese but also a faithful Catholic. Faith has greatly contributed to his art creation. He was nurtured by Western education and grew up in a traditional Chinese family. This cultural background, mingling the East and the West, has diversified his thought. Sometimes, he even shows his rebellious spirit with inquisitiveness, which also forms his philosophical personality. Nevertheless, José has a unique and crystal clear philosophy of life. He likes contemplation and is sensitive to the things around him.
He impresses us with his intelligence, sense of righteousness, optimism and courage – this could be attributed to his early interaction with society in his teenage years. After experiencing tribulations and facing various jobs and people, he is able to grow in the midst of chaotic emotions, and could be termed an adventurer of the soul.
Painting is a connection and liberation of José’s innermost self, offering him infinite space of contemplation. He expresses his feelings and thoughts with mild and sedate colors through different layers, never restrict with a singular technique. His paintings like an allusion of his last night’s dream, dissolved into a vague image with blending and harmony of oils and colors. He began his creative process from the unconscious – sometimes it is like a religious ritual in which he piously confesses – this is the most valuable aspect of art: it moves individuals and arouses their empathy.

蘇侃哲是土生葡人，也是虔心的天主教徒，信仰對他的藝術創作有重要的影響，蘇侃哲從小接受西方教育，並在中國傳統家庭的環境下成長，東西交融的文化背景，令他的思想更為多元，有時還顯得反叛，對問題總要刨根問底，這也形成了他愛思考的性格。然而蘇侃哲有著獨特而清晰的生活理念，善於思考的他，對身邊的事物
有著敏銳觸覺，蘇侃哲給人的印象聰穎，富正義感，樂觀揚善，勇於面對挑戰，這或許與他十多歲就開始接觸社會有關，歷經磨鍊，面對不同的工作和人事，使他在混沌的情緒中發展，可以說是心靈的探險家。
繪畫對他來說就是心靈的觸碰和釋放，亦給了他無窮的思考空間。他喜歡色彩的表現力，不泥於法，一層一層緩緩地上色，色調柔和沉著，像在訴說他的心底故事。
色彩的交融與和合，他享受油與色的溶化，變幻中矇矓的影像，似是昨夜的夢境，若浮若現，以潛意識的狀態進行創作，有時更像是一場宗教儀式，虔誠自白，這也是藝術的可貴之處。
